Now And Then

Four women who have been life-long friends reunite when one of them is about to have a child. When they meet, they reminisce about their youth together – in particular, the summer of 1970 when they were finally trying to establish their own self identity.

The movie takes you back to that summer in 1970, and we see the women when they were younger. It was a summer that changed them all. A summer of young love, murder mysteries, boys, family, self-discovery, but most importantly – friendship. They grew up together, they shaped each other. The impression that they made on one another has lasted a lifetime, and they never forgot it.

After that summer, years flew by and distance and time got in they way of some of the girls and their bond: but that did not deteriorate its strength.

Friendship is like a second family, and for some of these girls is was the best family they ever had.

This movie has a whole cast of powerful female actors: Rosie O'Donnell, Demi Moore, Melanie Griffith, Rita Wilson, Christina Ricci, Thora Birch, and more. It's a real sweet story with a really strong message about the power that friendship holds.

This movie also has a great soundtrack from the year of 1970 and I feel that it adds a lot to the movie. Although mostly a cutesy heartwarming film, it's also pretty funny at most parts and plays on child innocence and youthful wild hearts.
